Resources and economy in Llama Legends

Llama Legends has eleven resources for players. Coins buy packs and work upgrades. Golden Wool buys Ancient cards and market trades. Golden Hay upgrades work llamas. Crystals, Legacy Gems, and Ancient Adamant pay for Limit Break. Llama Marks buy prestige upgrades, Glaze unlocks card variants, and Glory is spent inside an Arena run.

The eleven resources

#

Each resource has one main source and one main use. The table below is the short version; the in game backpack shows the same rows with live balances.

Coins

Source: Work (click and auto), selling cards, missions and chests.

Used for: Booster packs, work upgrades and Black Market offers.

Golden Wool

Source: Arena runs only.

Used for: Golden Wool Market trades and exclusive Ancient cards.

Golden Hay

Source: Challenge Towers and the Golden Wool Market.

Used for: Upgrading work llamas.

Ascension Crystals

Source: Raids, the Golden Wool Market and Challenge Towers.

Used for: Limit Break for standard cards.

Legacy Gems

Used for: Limit Break for promo cards.

Ancient Adamant

Source: Golden Wool Market and Black Market.

Glaze

Source: Raids, event missions, Black Market and select tower rewards.

Used for: Unlocking and upgrading card finishes and designs.

Hourglasses

Source: Event missions and Black Market.

Used for: Instantly shortening active Expeditions and Patrols. One hourglass skips one hour.

Transferable XP

Source: Sparring overflow, patrols, raids and Black Market.

Used for: Directly leveling any chosen card in the XP Boost chamber.

The three markets

#

The Golden Wool Market sells individual Ancient cards, coins, Golden Hay, Ascension Crystals, Legacy Gems, Ancient Adamant, and extra slots. It is where you choose the Ancient card you want.

The Llama Mark Shop sells promo cards, titles, and solo raid keys. It is the place to buy more attempts for solo raids. The Black Market is a rotating coin shop with Transferable XP, Llama Marks, Ancient Adamant, grade 10 finish variants, Glaze, and Hourglasses. Stock changes over time.

Work and idle income

#

The clicker llama earns coins on tap. Hired work llamas earn coins on their own and keep working while you open packs, fight in the Arena, or are away. Golden Hay upgrades raise the passive output and make offline income more valuable.

The game calculates offline earnings when you return. A long break still moves the economy forward; it does not reset the work llamas.

What to spend first

#

Early on, spend coins on packs and on the cheapest work upgrades. Packs expand your Arena options, and work upgrades compound. Save Golden Wool for an Ancient card you will actually use, not for the first card in the market.

Save Llama Marks for prestige upgrades before cosmetics. A permanent upgrade improves every future run; a title only changes how the profile looks.
